When a child dies: http://margaretbitsandpieces.blogspot.com On Saturday January 23rd, 2010 at 3:03pm Andrea Victoria Alicea-Santiago, the daughter of Board members Rosahisela Santiago and Benjamin Alicea, left this world and went Home. It was a bitter-sweet moment, for she had a debilitating condition and suffered as well from a seizure disorder. She was born on October 4th, 2004, and to celebrate her memory, her parents created Project Sweet Butterfly - Andrea's Care Packages. |

In her honor, we created Andrea's Care Packages as part of Project Sweet Butterfly to share a little piece of God's love to help ease the first hours of ER or ICU stay of Caregivers (parents or other guardians) of Pediatric Patients. These packages contain snacks, water, dental care and personal care items and a $5 cafeteria gift card. So far, more than 100 bags have been given to parents in the Pediatric ICU. |
